Activity Summary:
Following a competitive tender process, we were appointed the sole staffing partner for all Sodastream activity including the London launch and nationwide roll out of their in-store demonstration programme across Selfridges and Lakeland stores
- Having recently undergone a brand refresh, Sodastream were on the hunt for a reliable and trusted experiential and staffing partner
- They needed to communicate the renewed brand vision and deliver demonstrations in an educational and meaningful way to drive awareness and sales
- Leveraging our relationship with Selfridges (we recently provided 30 Hosts for Flipside exhibition and regularly provide teams in-store demonstrating Google products), we worked in partnership with the Sodastream to secure demonstration space within the flagship Selfridges store
- The project scope consisted of 3 months of demonstration, 3 days per week
- Staff passion for the product, and mission to reduce plastic and be sustainable was crucial - they had to align with the brand and be completely authentic
Kru Solution:
- Kru Live recruited and trained a core team of 5 top demonstrators with sales expertise.
- To ensure Sodastreamers were fully trained on the history, values and products we devised a one day immersive training session in collaboration with Kru Live and brand team
- Bespoke casting ensured a perfect brand match. Key questions helped to uncover the perfect Sodastreamer - they had to be energetic, bubbly in character, sales focused and passionate about spreading the brand vision
- Sodastreamers encouraged shoppers to demo the product and promote giveaways
- Branded uniform and demo kit was sourced and managed by Kru Live to create a strong brand presence in-store
- In-store staff training and engagement by Sodastreamers encouraged brand advocacy within the retailer
- E-refreshers, sales and skype training ensure staff knowledge is always up to date
Results
- 100% Staff Attendance Rates
- Circa 8500 meaningful shopper engagements
- Sales target surpassed
- Due to success of Kru Live and Sodastream’s partnership we are expanding demos nationwide across 15 Lakeland stores and are in discussion with Selfridges about phase 2 of activity for 2019
- Strong relationship with Selfridges developed by Sodastreams and Kru Live account team who met them personally to discuss ways of working and debrief post activity
