Wednesday 27th January
Lucy in Florida

Its Wednesday of my final week at Victory and the office is buzzing with energy and with new events which are coming in; January is busy for both agencies. The team here are ready to take on the new events and the account mangers assign the new briefs to their teams.

I sat with Laura who I will be assisting in recruiting for a Field Marketing Manger for one of their biggest clients who is a popular drinks brand. This is a really exciting, full time role for someone who holds exceptional management experience and although these types of full time roles are less frequent, Victory also assist with the specialist internal agency placements just as Kru Live do too. I ran through the list of applicants on My Victory Home portal and shortlisted my candidates I was going to call, I then spoke to some great staff members on the phone who fitted the brief perfectly for this role which requires extensive experience in many fields. I then put forward my suggestions to the client who will be interviewing this Friday. The detailed processes are very similar to Kru Live and I feel more than comfortable to assist the team!

This afternoon I sat down with the Staffing Coordinators, Project Leaders and the Account Managers to showcase our ‘Rekruitment Roadshow’ videos from 2014 and 2015 held in London. I then ran through how we organise the events, the tasks that we set brand ambassadors during the interview process and the selection process. Due to the size of the USA and with events operating across all states, unfortunately Victory are unable to hold more frequent face to face recruitment days which is a shame as I know this is something they would like to implement more moving forward.

After work had finished I was taken to Outback, a steak restaurant by the squad Nicholle and Laura and ate a three course meal of salad, steak and cheesecake…I am now so full! Followed by a trip to Costco; although I know we have Costco in the UK I have never been so it was a new experience for me!

Frankie in London

As it creeps closer to the end of my stay here in London, I’m able to really appreciate the people that I’ve met and the things I’ve learned, both in and out of the office. As for Wednesday itself, the morning started with the weekly meeting going over specific staff performance as well as events on the agenda. When the meeting concluded, I then shadowed Siobhan on how their confirmation process works. This process is to call the staff member a day before the event (much like we do) and confirm the details on the phone giving them an opportunity to ask any last minute questions. The booker then changes their status on the CRM to ‘’confirmed’. This tells Ben (the Group Account Manager) that they have spoken to the staff member in person and that both the staff member and booker are happy all is well. After I learned a little more on the confirmation processes, we then switched gears to recruiting staff for the Recruitment Roadshow that they are holding in various locations around the UK. This is sort of a meet and greet for staff to meet internal bookers, account execs, etc. to learn more about how to secure jobs in their area.

Following a bit of recruitment, I conducted more of my own interviews for the ‘’Meet The KruLive/Talent Team’’ segment which I plan on implementing as soon as I get back to the States. To finish off the day, I gave about an hour presentation on our booking processes, the who’s who of Victory, check-in procedures, and workflow which, as foreseen, had many similarities.

In the evening, we did a mini pub crawl around Putney again – going to one of my favourite places to start: Tequila Mockingbird. We then ended at The Boat House, a nice pub/restaurant right on the River Thames where I had my first cottage pie and Scottish Egg. Needless to say, I was eating like I was going to the electric chair. Apparently the British aren’t known for their cuisine, but with all the amazing new foods that I’ve tried so far – I call that stereotype RUBBISH. Stay tuned for tomorrow, ladies and gents.
