Lucy in Florida – Day 4
The Florida weather isn’t quite living up to the ‘sunshine state’ but still is a nice warmth in the air and the clouds have no way overshadowed any of my experience here! Dana picked me up from my hotel which is a brisk 5 minute walk to the office and took me for coffee for our planned Q&A session. It was so lovely getting to know Dana, Victory’s original Staff Booker who has through hard work and her passion for the company climbed the ladder to the Vice President over the 4.5 years she has worked with the company. Dana is most certainly the Sarah Jane of Kru Live and they hold lots of similarities; I’m slowly starting to think I am in a weird parallel universe here!
In the afternoon I shadowed Nicholle’s team who are currently working with one of their biggest clients The Discovery Channel for one of theirs NFL Super Bowl events; Puppy Bowl! Nicholle and her team, Rachel and Alexa are super busy handpicking great brand ambassadors who fit the very specific brief for the role.
On day four I really feel as though I am part of their team when I am invited to meet with the senior management and finance teams to run through processes on each side and we shared thoughts and ideas. It’s great to hear ideas are encouraged from everyone around the table and to see everyone being involved; they take on the philosophy of ‘no idea is a bad idea’ and this is exactly Kru’s philosophy too. I feel right at home.
In the evening we went and ate two GIANT pizza’s and the girls had booked me in for a new craze called ‘Painting with a Twist’ where groups of people all sit down and paint a picture together and you bring your own bottle of wine. It was really relaxing and the paintings came out really well; bringing out the Monet in all of us! I will be bringing mine back to the UK and will hang it next to my desk!
Frankie in London – Day 4

Day four was a tremendous learning experience, both in and out of the office. The first half was spent in the office during the morning and after was a site visit at the O2 with Nastasya. The Orlando Magic played the Toronto Raptors as part of the NBA in London program so the BAs were sampling food with a little pop up basketball station inside the arena. On site, I had a chance to meet some of the BAs that were staffed by Kru Live, many of which had the same personality traits that we look for in staff over in the states. The team was very engaging and it seemed that everyone that came through the activation had a memorable time and learned a great deal about the product.
We then started our trek back to the office and upon arrival, Rebecca conveyed a bit more of their recruiting processes here (updating profiles, images and confirming attendance for a recruitment seminar next month). We then went over staff decks and presentations which also include customer feedback after the event.
Many of the staff booking and confirmation procedures are paralleled to ours at Victory; one difference being the cancelation policy for the staff. Staff must confirm via phone in addition to online which makes it much easier for the bookers to assess the validity of their reasoning. Needless to say, yesterday was full of procedure and process talk which was extremely beneficial information to take back to the states. In the evening, I recharged the batteries for an exciting and long-awaited Fun Friday. Stay tuned…
