My fiancée & I were kindly invited by our partner agency in Portugal to attend their 5 year anniversary party in the wonderful city of Porto. Flying over from Gatwick on Friday afternoon, we were greeted by a driver organised by our partner to ensure that we got to our hotel safely. We were then asked by André Novaes, Events Manager and Sónia Brochado, General Manager to join them and some close friends & clients of the agency for dinner and pre drinks at MUDA bar & restaurant. It was a great opportunity to explain in further detail success stories of TSEC; how all those within our group now have the capability to activate worldwide. Following a relaxed dinner, we joined the party downstairs where André & Sónia were keen to introduce us to many of their close partners, clients and contacts all invited to help celebrate what’s been a fantastic last 5 years for them.
I met their wider team and discussed similarities and best practice in Portugal. They have some amazingly strong bonds with their clients and so we were quick to understand that TSEC would benefit a number of them who were already activating events overseas, but yet were spending considerable time and resource researching sometimes unknown staffing and entertainment agencies which the majority were untried and tested.
Drinks were flowing, a DJ playing great tunes and a photographer & videographer working the room. A number of thier key promotional event staff were also invited later into the evening to catch up with clients they had worked with on events, and again gave me an opportunity to explain our plans and vision for TSEC Worldwide.We said our goodbyes and left around 1.30am after an amazing evening making new friends and acquaintances.
Saturday was spent enjoying the sights of Porto, in glorious early Spring sunshine, locating coffee shops, bars and restaurants which we had been recommended by a number of new friends the previous evening. André was again the perfect host, in frequent contact in ensuring we were in no short supply of local information or advice in being able to maximise our day in and around their fine city.
Early Sunday morning, we were collected from our hotel by our driver and taken to the airport for our flight home after a really enjoyable time spent solidifying things with our partner agency and spreading the TSEC brand.
